A Study Exhibition of World Trade Center
Site Proposals, Commentaries, Responses
On view at the Department of City.
The Architectural League has produced a multi-
media exhibition entitled Rebuilding: A study
exhibition of World Trade Center site proposals,
commentaries, responses.
Focusing primarily on the nine proposals by the
seven architectural teams that the Lower
Manhattan Development Corporation
commissioned for an 'innovative design'
study in fall 2002, the exhibition provides
insight into the significant
developments in the downtown rebuilding
process from September 2001 to the present.

The exhibition brings together a variety of materials, including: interactive computer kiosks featuring video presentations by the
architects of the nine design proposals; a timeline that highlights significant developments in the downtown rebuilding process from
September 2001 to the present; materials published by the LMDC, including the program given to the architects participating in the
"innovative design" study and the original Request for Qualifications through which the architects were chosen; press commentary on
the proposals; and responses from a range of groups and coalitions that have studied the rebuilding process. Additional materials will
be added to the exhibition, including excerpts from a two-day program of presentations and discussions with the architects, organized by
the Architectural League, the architecture school of the Cooper Union, and the Museum of Modern Art; and documentation of the further
development of their schemes by the finalist teams, THINK and Studio Daniel Libeskind.
The exhibition is currently on view at the Department of City Planning, 22 Reade Street, NYC. Admission is free and hours are M-F 9-6.
Subway: 4,5,6,N,R to City-Hall/Brooklyn Bridge.
